Budgeting challenges suck!
Budgeting challenges are something that most people can relate to. Creating a budget can be a daunting task, and it's not always easy to stick to it. I spent years trying all sorts of budgeting techniques and softwares but none of them really stuck. Why? For me, it was because they are super boring and restrictive. Who has time for that? I’d rather be doing something fun and creative.
When I realized that budgeting was not for me, I began to look for alternative solutions and noticed that there was a lot of people out there doing the same. In-fact, I discovered that most people who don’t want to budget were running into similar issues and so I thought I would address the most common budgeting challenges that people face.
"The unexpected" factor: You can plan for everything, but life always has a way of throwing curveballs at you. Whether it's a surprise bill or an emergency expense, there's always something that will come up and throw off your budget.
"Math is hard" syndrome: Let's face it, not everyone is a math whiz. Creating a budget can be overwhelming if you're not comfortable with numbers.
"FOMO" fear: The fear of missing out on something can lead you to make impulsive purchases that you didn't plan for. Whether it's a limited time offer or a sale that's too good to pass up, it can be hard to resist the urge to spend.
"I'll start tomorrow" procrastination: It's easy to put off creating a budget, especially when you're busy or don't feel like dealing with finances. But the longer you wait, the harder it becomes to get started.
"One size fits all" mindset: Not everyone's budget is the same. What works for one person may not work for another. It's important to create a budget that fits your unique financial situation.
"Impatience" factor: Creating a budget takes time and effort. It's not something that can be done overnight. It's important to be patient and stay committed to the process.
"I don't make enough" mentality: It's easy to feel like you don't make enough money to create a budget or save. But even small changes can make a big difference over time.
Do any of these sound familiar? I mean, the words “budgeting challenges” say it all. Who wants to be challenged by something they don’t want to do in the first place? Definitely not me. Having money available so you can enjoy life does require intention but who says you have to create a budget? Your Mom? Dad? Boss? Budgeting is the old way. The slow way. The boring way. It’s time to break the budgeting BRULE (bullshit rule).
This was the precise reason a created The Big Split Method. I didn’t want to sit down on a regular basis and create a budget, to restrict my spending and to place limits on myself. I didn’t want to be restricted by someone else’s idea of what was best for me and more importantly, I wanted to have money to do whatever I felt like doing in a simple and easy way.
Truth be told, “budgeting challenges” suck and you don’t need them. If you are ready to throw out the idea of budgeting and want to learn how to have money on a regular basis without creating a budget, dealing with an app of staring at a spreadsheet, then consider taking the Big Split Course where I teach you how to be budget free in less then 2 hours.
